I've been trying for two days to catch this dude! but can't I've tryed baiting a mantis shrimp trap puting food in a glass jar everything. Does anybody have a good way to catch them, By the way i have a reef tank
I've never tried catching a hawk fish, but when I was trying to catch my blue damsels I just fed them. Then I waited for them to get the food from the top and was waiting with my net. They never knew what hit em. HTH.
If you have a glass top, use a segment of the glass and clear out the end of the tank. When the fish swims to the end use the piece of glass down in the tank to make a wall. you have just limited his swimming space and it is much easier.
