I have a 50gal aquarium, I have always wanted to keep an
eel(snowflake,green wolf or zebra), but I would also like to have
some sails,crabs,starfish,etc. Is there any eel that I can keep
that won't harm them? I have no fish in the tank yet, it has
just finished it's cycle so now it's time for me to decide.

The Snowflake Eel, also known as the Snowflake Moray Eel, Clouded Moray, or Starry Moray, is one of the most beautiful morays, and inhabits caves and crevices throughout the Indo-Pacific reefs. In the wild, it can grow to 39 inches; most captive specimens will not exceed 24 inches.
This is a very hardy eel, but an escape artist. A 50 gallon or larger aquarium with plenty of live rock and a tightly fit canopy is ideal. Most of the eels that are lost in an aquarium are due to poorly sealed tanks. The Snowflake Eel is safe to house with any fish it cannot easily swallow. It can be housed with some invertebrates, like anemones and corals, but not crustaceans.
The wild Snowflake Eel is a nocturnal predator, ambushing fish and crustaceans. In the tank, it will take frozen or freeze-dried krill, fish, shrimp, and most meaty foods. It can be taught to hand feed, although this should be done with caution, as it can inflict a painful bite.

i have a snowflake eel...i have noticed that i am missing a few hermits, but i still have my snails, and the eel actually shares a cave with my brittle star!! lol. now, when the sfe gets bigger, we might have a problem, but for now he is pretty good about leaving the inverts alone...

I have a green wolf eel, and he has never bothered my clean up crew: snails, hermits, and an orange linckia (the hermits eventually killed him, though
)
Don't know about the moray types, though...

I like the chestnut viper moray eel it only get 12inchs long and it looks like a smaller version of the viper moray eel. I had one but I think my sharks eat him because I could not find him when I moved my sharks to a bigger tank. Good luck

Isnt the green wolf eel nothing more than a blenny, I think I was reading somewhere that they are the largest in the blenny family. I know they are known for there BIG eating habits.
Ive had a snowflake eel in my tank with some smaller fish and hermits.
