I wont be able to keep them from being around smoker totally but in my home i can. I do respect the rights of smokers to smoke.
I will try to give my kids the facts on smoking and let them be the ultimate ones to decide when they are old enough to make the decision themselves.
Thats about the best thing we can do for them. Inform them and lead by example but they will make the choice in the end.
