I beleive they are non photo synthetic, making them fairly difficult to keep. They will need daily feedings of brine shrimp or something simalir. It should also be noted that The Reef Aquarium Vol. 2 says not to keep them with fish, they can easily catch one for a nice snack.

Hmmm my lfs has them in an overstocked tank with damsels...they must be too fast for it...
I never heard of it catching fish... so clowns would NOT even think twice about going to this type of anemone?
I know it is VERY LOW light...
any other thoughts?

I have one and he has gotten hugh. The problem with him is he will eat any slow fish. He actually ate my lion fish. I actually want to take him back to the store

I have three of these in my 35g hex reef and they add a lot of color. I think it ate my very small hippo tang though. However, it's neat to watch them eat live brine and they add a lot of color to your tank.
