I decided to get another model after trying to install the Tunze. I ran out of patience. It has the most retarded mounting system I have ever seen. Aside from that it wouldn't work externally. I mis-read the description.
"Equipped with the accessories for internal and aquarium cabinet operation."
I took aquarium cabinet operation to mean external, as in the cabinet my tank sits on. Apparently it is referring to a sump tank. Perhaps I should have know that but I didn't.
I never fired up the unit so I can't say how well it works. I did take it all apart to see how it ticks and it's pretty simple, almost cheap. Not much there for the money but that doesn't mean squat if it works well.
