Turbo Calcium Users

I thought my alkalinity was low but it's actually high. I was measuring in meg/l but I was interpreting it as dkh. My reading is 5 and the conversion rate to dkh is 2.8. I have since backed off adding superdkh and am using Kent Turbo Calcium and weekly water changes.
My question is how much should the turbo calcium increase my calcium level each day? I am using three 1/4 teaspoons each day. I want to avoid raising my calcium too quickly but I am also wondering if I can add more than I am currently adding. Thanks.

I was also thinking about testing the calium in the RO water before I add it to the tank. Would the readings be off the chart?

I am a bit confused, the dkh of a reef tank should be around 8-10. so if yours is 2.8 then it is low.
What is your calcium level in the tank, turbo is pretty strong stuff so you have to be careful with it. The only way to know how much the turbo is raising your calcium level each day is to measure it beore you dose, if you want to add a stronger dose than you would need to drip it on slowly not just pour it in all at once. You will just have to play around with it, just be careful.
The calcium level of RO/DI water should be 0.

Thanks for your comments. I've been trying to get my calcium and alkalinity up for about two weeks. I was using super dkh buffer and b-ionic. I think I was adding too much alkalinity. Anyway, my alk is reading 5. I've been shooting for 8 - 10. I think the 10 a dkh measure and my reading is a meg/l measure. I think the conversion is 2.8, so I guess my reading is 14 in dkh.
My salifert calcium test should be in today and I have been testing my calcium levels each day with my other test (Hagen brand). I've been using the turbo calcium for 4 days.

I was wondering what the caclium reading of the RO/DI water would be if I added the turbo calcium to it. Just curious to how strong the calcium is.
