Turbo snail destroying my seaweed ...

There would be an almost brand new seaweed on the clip before I went to bed, wake up and it is completely gone. I wasn't sure what was eating so much at night. I only have 1 Kole Yellow Eye Tang. Then I saw the turbo going to town on it, not sure if the tang is getting enough to eat, he still picks at the LR and glass, and will nibble a bit on the seaweed.
Is this just something I have to deal with or is there a better way to feed the tang? I tried to move a rock and put a piece of seaweed under it, but that failed horribly and had to rework the rocks since some shifted and fell.

An algae clip is pretty standard. Then again, some people tie a string to the clip from their light fixture or canopy (more than likely the canopy) and let the clip dangle from the fishing line. That usually keeps snails out of it. lol
I don't have a problem with my turbo's eating the nori I put in there. They do a great job of keeping everything clean, and I'd rather feed my snails and my tang to keep everybody happy.

Hi,
Your fish have more to eat then just what you feed it..the picking off the rocks is one reason why I like tangs. they keep the rock clear of algae. The tangs and the snails were part of the CUC in my reef tanks. The algae sheets were only used when there wasn't enough algae to keep the critters from starving. Once a tank is established, the algae flourishes, then everything has enough to eat. If you feed the CUC, they have no reason to "clean up", and the algae gets a foot hold and takes over. The same is true of the uneaten food that falls into the rock, the shrimp and the serpent/brittle stars eat that.
If you see algae growing on the rock (green film)...your tang has enough to eat, and it will nibble all day long off of it, as nature intended. When I fed the fish, I also used a Spirulina mix so the tangs had regular fish food to eat besides the nibble of algae off the rocks they like.

Why would you hang the loaded clip at night? The fish are asleep, but the snails aren't...

How did the tang die?
I got him 3 weeks ago, did fine for 2.5 weeks, then it started to look pale and not as active on Tuesday, on Wednesday it was staying near the bottom of the tank and was really pale, almost no yellow on the fins and eyes. Then Thursday afternoon it last his fight, so I'm not really sure what happened, nothing really changed in the tank from when I put it in, I did raise the SG from around .014 to .020, but that was about it.

Is any of your other fish sick at all? What are the readings on the other parameters? How fast did you raise the SG?

Update: one of my clowns is doing terrible and wont eat. Has a fuzzy look to him and eyes are glazed over :( I don't know what happened or what to do

Looks like Brooklynella to me. I'm moving your thread to the disease forum for better answers. If it is Brook then it is highly contagious and your other Clownfish is at high risk.

Thanks for the help, hopefully he makes it by the time I can start treating tomorrow. Should I treat the other fish, or wait for them to start showing signs of it?

It's a parasite, a protozoan to be specific. It's so contagious because it reproduces rapidly once a host is found (any fish will do).

I was not able to save the clowns :( on the plus side the fire fish is doing good and showing no signs of being affected. How should I continue from here, do I need to let the tank sit for a while with out adding any new live stock? Is there anyway to prevent this from happening again. Or how it was brought into the tank, I did add a turbo snail a week prior to the collapse.
