Well i just bought a turbo snail yesterday afternoon, after acclimating it for one hour, i placed it in my tank ( well its a bucket with liverocks in it). I tested the water for the bucket , all the nitrate and nitrite , ammonia and such were good. The snail opened up and stuck itself on the side of the bucket. I guess thats a good sign right? it moved around too. It stuck on the side of the bucket the whole night till this morning. I left and it was still doing fine. But when i came home around 4:00 PM. It was on the bottom of the bucket all closed up. So what could've gone wrong. There is one possible answer, the bucket was in my garage and the temperature in there reached close to 87 degrees F. You think its the heat that made the snail closed up? I placed the snail in cooler water hoping it will open up, but no luck so far. Any body kno what went wrong? Please help me.

It was probably the heat, and you should have acclimated it to the cooler temp instead of just putting it in.

Well it could have been sleeping. Now its possable its in shock from the quick temp change. Just leave it be for awhile. Take it out once a day and smell it. You'll know if its dead.
