Turbo Snail Turds?

I just started noticing what appear to be turds all over the rock on every level. I think they are coming from my turbo snails, as one seems to be "sleeping" on the side of a rock, and below him is a small pile. Am I seeing little algae "crap" all over the place? They are about 1/2mm in diameter and are like little cylinders about 2-3mm long.
2nd Question: Are they going to pick up after themselves, or do I need another species that considers turbo poop a delicacy?

I honestly couldnt help you too much here, but thats what it sounds like to me. Watch one of them for a while and see what they do. A photo wouldnt hurt either.
