I have some snails that will leave large piles of rope! Although I've never caught them in the act, I think it's my Astrea snails.

yes, yes they do! i have seen mine. kinda intresting. lol just kidding
i havent seen the poop land anywhere. i guess my filter gets to it? or maybe they eat it?
