Iv'e got a 360 fish only tank about three months. Everything going fine. Levels are nitrate levels are low but not zero. I bought 3 turbo snails to help with some algae growth on the top of an artificial(fiberglass) reef sculpture I had built in places where the fish can't get to.
The snails did their job for two days but have now receded into their shells( not stuck to anything)
Are snails that sensitive to low levels of nitrate? I was more worried about the fish getting to them if they ventured further down into the tank(I have a Picasso and Clown trigger in the tank)
I don't know if the snails have died or what. I may take them out and put them in my reef tank to see if they recover.
