Turbo turds all over

I have turbo snail crap in my tank. I had no idea that they went so much but he's eating 24/7 so I should have figured. It seems to accumulate in 2 areas of my tank where I have the least flow (under a cave and in a tight corner). I'm going to siphon it out with my next waterchange. Hard to believe that they are considered a small bioload when they crap so much.

There's so many I'm considering removing it and just having the astraea's as they are all over my rock also. I can't believe how much poo is in my tank.

it should go away. means you don't have enough water movement if its not getting hidden from site

I hit the turds with a turkey baster yesterday and it dissipated in the water column. I have 2 spots in my tank that get less flow. One back corner and right under an overhang. I'll have to watch those two areas.

I hear you! WOW I just got my snails last Saturday and their poop.. er.. detrius just blows from one side of my tank to the other... those suckers poop constantly!!

I have two big snails and theydo the same thing... especially when they sleep or whatever it is they are doing when they stop moving for 5 hrs during the day and a whole pile comes out. Its disgusting. Sometimes my goby goes over there and grabs it when a peice falls out, mistaking it for food, and promptly spits it out. :scared: Its horrid.
