no, I keep all mine on all the time. a lot of people will have different powerheads on an alternating timer to give in a wave/tide effect.

I fished out (pardon the expression) an old Pond pump. Not sure what the GPH is on it. I belive its 120GPH... Ill have to check and see.
I dont think my Feather Duster is too pleased with the new addition though. Its got quite a current blowing over it now. LOL
Its wedged itself into the rocks that are going to slowly become the reef. Ill probably move it myself to a less disturbed location.
