Turning down the lights

I'm still fighting the cyno and was wondering if I should decrease my lighting to like 6 hours a day and slowly bring it up to 8-10? Wondering if I'm looking at any adverse reactions from the following.
Blue Tang
Clown fish
potters angel
scooter blenny
cardinals (2)
sebae anemone
green star polyps
green bubble coral
hammer coral
xenia
I'm working through the steps but not seeing much progress. I feed every other day, running a phospate sponge (just for now) switched to RO/DI water and have plenty of circulation.
Thanks,

The fish probably wouldn't be affected very much ...if at all. The corals you listed would be my concern...but they may not react poorly to the light reduction either.... but I would daily monitor the corals and if they appear to be suffering from a lack of light I'd switch plans quick!
Another effective means of cyano control is frequent small percentage water changes....and each time you remove display water use the syphon and a clean/new brush to dislodge the cyano and syphon it away. Control your nurtient source...insure adaquate water circulation...cut back the lighting....use only quality water for changes and top offs....reduce feedings and use high quality/low phosphate foods...the use of macro algaes primarily in a refugium can also provide another tool to limit the nutrients the cyano requires. All the tools combined can effectively reduce/eliminate cyano.....
