Two 250 Watt Halides?

I have a 65 Gallon, and want to know if this would be too much light. I want a mixture of softies, hard corals, clams, basically everything!
I was thinking of buying a dual ballast and putting the two halides on either side. This would mean I would have 555 watts of 10000k and 55 watts of actinic. This is because I have two 55 watt PC smartlites running also. I eventually want to make the PCs full actinic and have the two halides at 10000k, but this wouldn't be until later on. Would this be too much light for my softies(umbrella leather & mushrooms). I have the mushrooms toward the bottom and I understand that the umbrella would probably have to move towards the bottom. Is this a wise investment for what I want to keep, or should I just keep my single 250 watt halide with the two 55 watt smartlites? <img src="graemlins//confused.gif" border="0" alt="[confused]" />

If you want to go for the highter light sps then I would go with the 65k saki's as their output is a bit higher. Just a personal prefferance of mine on the bulb choice.
If you aqua scaped it right you would be able to keep all the different corals you listed.
Make sure you have the air flow to keep the tank cool too.
Can't wait to see some pics. :)

def make sure you have like 12" from bulbs to water. also you might want to run some pc or actinics along with your MH's they give a better colour that way. Many people that have "hot" lights use fans and ducts to get the heat away from the tank. just a suggestion :D

Yeah if I did get another MH then I would definitely add a fan to the hood. The reason for the other MH would be for better light coverage(no dark spots). I just wanted to know if I do get another MH would it hurt my soft corals.
