two 250 watt metal halide

Hello I have just installed two 250 watt 20K metal halide bulbs installed on a hanging fixure above the aquarium. It`s about 12 inches above the water should it be lower or higher. Any ideas on what kind of corals I should be able to keep.

I have updated my signature. I also wonder at what height does most of the heat transfer come in at. I will be taking mesurements to try and find out.

as long as they are hung above the tank, there shouldn't be any problems with heat, as there is when they are enclosed in a hood. 12" is just fine. as for corals, it all depends on the water condition now really.

I just purchased a few sps corals
