Two Anemones

Is it normal for a LT green tip(small) and a LT pink tip anemone(large) to settle side by side and touching? Upon adding the Pink tip, it went right to the rocks. About a week later the green tip in which I've had for sometime followed. Today I noticed the green tip is begining to intertwine with the pink tip and looks healthier.

Typically it means they are competing. Especially if they seek each other out. However their intentions can be misinterpreted when its the same species, and they could be ok. The fact they are intertwining though IMO would have me suspicious and I would keep a close eye on them. JMO.

If, they are competing it wont matter where you place them, they will seek each other out. If they are mixed species then your chances of success decrease. And their persistence to find each other is probably to fight although it doesnt look that way when they are together.

Clones are said to be the number 1 way to ensure success with multiple specimens of anemones in the same tank. While same species anemones with different parents are next. And although success is not uncommon with mixing species this is where a lot of issues are seen.
