Two magnun filters

I have two old magnun canister filters a 330 and 200. If I connect the output tube from one filter, and connect it to the input of the other filter, will it still work. Only one canister would be powered. I could probably use the second canister for additional media. For example, a chemical or biological station. What do you think?

this is my opinion only and many others on this board may have a different opinion and comments so take it with a grain of salt.
if you connect the magnums in series like you had mentioned and only run(power) one filter---your total flow of water will decrease a fairly good amount because of the extra load put on the one pump that is running.
If you are going to run the filters on your 33hex, and you power the 330----you should still have enough water circulation for effective filtration depending on the type of tank setup.
