Well, Crypt Keeper and I went in, on a joint project together, but I have to post pics of my two new little ones! If he chooses to, I'll let Paul post the pics of his snake.
Extremely, extremely happy, with these two! The first one is kind of like my Holy Grain for Retics and I snatched her up. All within 4 hours, contacted the guy, emailed, talked on the phone and then bought. Met up with him last Sunday and picked her up, along with Pauls snake.
Female Genetic Stripe Retic

Then, after meeting the guy, I got back in contact with him, the same day and bought ANOTHER Retic from him. Received him, in the mail, today. UPS delivered to work and I was itching, all day, to get get him out!! Had to wait till I got home, unfortunately.
Male Super Dwarf Tiger Retic

Love the speckling, on his head!! And his eyes are a dull yellow.

So whats the deal? Are all these retics all the same species and you are after different color and pattern variations?

Correct...they're all Reticulated Pythons, just different color variations, morphs, localities, etc.
With this new Tiger being a Super Dwarf, he won't get more than 5' - 6' long, instead of 20', that a normal Tiger could reach.
The Genetic Stripe is a Dwarf locality. She won't get more than 10' - 11', as an adult.

Nice looking critters. How did your run in the the authorities turn out by the way? Everything cool?

Seems to me those dwarfs would be the hot ticket. Even if I was into snakes I don't think I'd want to be responsible for a 20 footer.

There is a pet store near me that has a gaboon viper about six feet long that I beleive was either devenomized or defanged. You should get one, they are absolutely beautiful in person.

Be VERY careful with snakes they sell as "venomoids". Basically, it means their venom glands have been removed.
If you don't get a competant surgeon, who fully removes the glands AND the venom ducts, they will regrow venom glands and venom ducts and return to full on venomous snakes.
A Gabby will kill you in a matter of hours.
All states that classify venomous as illegal will also classify "venomoids" as illegal too.
If I could have owned a Gabby, I would have.
To the person who asked me how my court battle went...it didn't turn out well, but it didn't turn out too bad for me.

They are getting to be a very popular breed. Alot of people, who keep things like Red Tail Boas and have always wanted a Retic, now have a chance to own one. Alot of them are like you said...don't want the 20 footers.
Then again, most Retic guys like their monsters. There are some that look amazing, at 15' - 18' snakes, that just wouldn't look the same as a Dwarf or Super Dwarf, IMO.
