Two questions about ordering from SWF

This question is for the experience and people who have actually ordered. No offense. After a few fish, one coral, some rock blah blah blah. I have come to the realization that I can get way more for my money here. But I have a couple questions before doing so:
1) I want a green flourescent bubble tip anemone. There is only two you can choose, the rose or the other. Can I make a request? Or can I make a recommendation?
2) Since you can only receive an order on a weekday. Would it be possible to have it delivered to my place of business and wait until I can go home to start acclimating fish, coral, inverts etc..? Or would I have to go home immediately or take the day off?
Thanks

1. You can always E-mail and try. I am not forsure if they will. I e-mailed them once and they responded pretty quickly.
2. I am like you and work for a living. I have made a few orders from here. I have had to have them delivered to my work too. I have not had any problems acclimating after I got off work. I think
your money back guaratee is void if you don't send them a pic within 2hrs of delivery but you still can get credit from them on your next order.

I had a damsal come to me with a large abrasion on his side and didnt last 24 hours. I got my fish at work and didnt put them into the tank until after 5PM.
I got a refund on the damsal without having to send it back you just have to notify them right away and JIC put it in a baggie with salt. Then another baggie and wait for their re. They are really good about making sure that customers are very happy with the stock they buy. I love it and will order all my fish though them.

Edit: I got a credit code for the fish, good as cash.

If I have to leave work, well I have to leave work. I have a very liberal job. I can come and go as I please, I would just rather stay current. My boss is a good friend of mine, I might get ribbed for having to call it a day because of fish, but what can you do. This is an obsession not a hobby.

Exactly you can always come back after you acclimate them. I got mine at 9AM and went to the house on my lunchbreak, all went well cpet that the wrasse decided to eat the shrimp 2 months later. Brat but he was the whole reason I ordered from here anyways.

When you receives a credit from SWF, on your next order, you have to meet a minimum requirement of $79 merchandise before you can use the credit issued.
Analogy, you purchase a shirt from local store. The store issues a credit. However, on your next purchase, you cannot use that whole credit to purchase another shirt. You have to pay the store a minimum amount BEFORE using the issued credit.

I know that and I am willing to spend more than that because they stand by their stock, not like my local LFS. They say tough luck if it dies your out the $$$ you spent.
JMO.

That is just crazy though. What if you don't need more than one fish. So basically you are out money until one of your fish dies.

They wont let you buy live unless it is over 79. Just because it cost so much for them to ship and they do that for free so in the end they save you a bunch of $$$ that way.
Oh well if you dont want to spend the $$$ then find a LFS that will order the fish for you.

I dont have a LFS that I trust with fish as of yet I am still shopping around and may find one yet but for now I trust SWF.com and will continue to until I can get them locally.

The reason for the minimum order (which is FAR lower than other web sites) is due to the cost of gas, packaging, stocking, etc... Another positive to this sites orders is that after you order once, you get free stuff with every order you place thereafter (you get to choose what you want...I got emerald crabs with my last order, which I needed for a bubble algae problem).
If you have problems spending the minimum $79 for an order, find a friend that is looking to place an order as well and go in together...or stock up on clean up crew members, copepods (if you have a mandarin or a goby that likes them), or add a few corals (if you have correct lighting). Getting to $79 isn't as hard as you may think (if it is a financial concern...look for a buddy to split an order)

I was very impressed with my order from here. It is a great way to cheaply build a clean up crew, or split fish with some friends. I have not head anything I ordered from this site die.

I'm sorry can someone please clarify the credit policy. Say I have a fish die, so I am credited $25, and the next order I place I place I have $95 dollars worth of live goods. Now I am unable to use the credit because I need to fulfill $79 + amt credited before I can use the credit, so I would need to order $79 + $25 before I can use my credit?

SWF policies
I suggest if you have any other question to email SWF.com for a direct response to your questions.
I really dont know for sure how they work that though.

Quoting from the link supplied.
"Credits do not count toward the minimum live goods order requirement and cannot be applied towards live rock, live sand, or aquarium supplies."
So the answer to my previous question is the minimum order then becomes $79 + amount credited.

if thats what it reads I would say yes you would have to order 79 + the credit
atleast from what that quote is saying .

At the local LFS, you are able to select what you are buying! Granted the fishes are shipped to us from SWF the same way LFS get them. This is why most LFS will not sell their livestock at least 24 hours later. To make sure the fishes are eating.
How many time you go to your LFS and see fishes not doing too well? Would you buy that? With SWF, you don't have a choice. This is why SWF has to have the guarantee. But the credit policy sucks.

Not when you see at least 1 dead fish in each tank at you LFS.
Thats how mine is. Hence why I but from SWF.com
Besides my LFS doesnt guarantee their stock once it leaves the store. I would rather chance it and have the 14 day guarantee than deal with the idiots that I have for LFS people.
