two quick questions

I've read that caulerpa that's not under 24/7 lighting can create problems. What type of caulerpa is LEAST likely to have those problems. I'm going to start a sumpfugium which will have lighting opposite the main display lighting.
Second, swf suggests not letting it's sponges ever be exposed to air. They say dump the sponge and water into the tank. Everything else I've ever read says to NEVER mix store water with your water. Are sponges the exception?

Thanks Kip. In the caulpera scenario, I would guess that since you're running the lights 24/7 then the ph fluctuations aren't that bad?
Second, what are your personal thoughts on sponges.
1) Worth it or not.
2) good in a new aquarium or wait for a more established?
My tanks been running for about two months but as my specs. show it's nearly empty.
Thanks again!

I dont have a lot of experience with sponges so I'll leave that one alone. As far as the macro, I plan on just using spaghetti algae because it has good nutrient export and doesnt go sexual so it is less of a problem in my opinion. HTH

I know you have to trim all macro but I was told numerous times spaghetti macro doesnt go sexual? Wrong info?
