#1, My purple anemone is on the move, heading right for my LARGE carpet anemone. I've moved him back twice now. Is he lookin' for a fight?????????? #2, Lost my EMPEROR yesterday. Took a hosp tank water sample for copper test, fish store told me it was a little low. Told me to add two caps to the water. I did. Two hours later he was dead. He was gasping, holding his gill plates way open. Put him into show tank, but he didnt make it. Question is,Did I get a bogus reading from the store??? Can copper BURN the gills????? Seems as this is what happened.....STEVE

Sundog, He was acting fine before. They told me,add more to maintain a "therapudic leval". Sammy, I gave him a freshwater dip on sunday and three large Ichies came out of the gills.

P.S. copper is not stable in saltwater and does break down thus the need to monitor the levels and add more throughout the treatment.A great way to remove coppper from a system is to add a few polyfilters in the sump or overflow and the copper will be out in a day or two.

Well, I've moved the purple over to a spot where the current is moving in the opposite direction, And put a shell in his way. He seems to be staying put for now. I'd hate to have to move the carpet because he's so big. To dislodge his foot takes alot of effort. I'm afraid it will hurt him. And the other fish,2 small percs,,1 yellow tang,1 sailfin,1 allards clown,1 pseudochromis,1 barr gobie, and 1 coral beauty are all doing great. I'm convinced I over dosed the Emperor. DAMN I loved that fish. STEVE

Sorry about your emperor, Steve. I guess if you have more problems look to something other than copper. I think I would steer clear of it, there are other options.
Again, I'm sorry.

I'm doing a 100% water change in the hosp today.I'm also thinking of gettimg a better test kit. NOT THE LITTLE

[hr]
.One that also tests for copper. I don't think the

[hr]
are as accurate as the drops. Any thoughts???STEVE

I have never used the "

[hr]
". In fact, I have not even heard of them. I have good luck with my not very expensive Aquarium Pharmaceuticals saltwater master kit. It's what my lfs uses. It can be a little putzy though.
