I just noticed this blue thing in my tank today, it is along the back wall behind the live rock, so it is no wonder I haven't seen it before now...my new lights got the entire tank illuminated so I noticed it right away while checking on some things. Any idea?

Also have had this for several weeks now(it was on the rock when we added it); what is the green thing behind my clowns? Some kind of coral perhaps? My husband touched it on accident and said it is very sharp...

I can't tell what the blue thing is. I've seen blue mushrooms that color. I'm also seen plastic that color.
I think the green stuff is calcareous algae of some sort. Need a clearer picture to be positive.

LOL It isn't plastic, never seen something this blue in my house before... I will clean the glass and attempt a better picture of the green stuff.

Hmm.... U got nice rock.
I think that's just a type of cal based algae too.
The blue thing is deff an alien.

I still can't tell. Could also be a blue sponge. It has the shape of a sea cucumber. It would be really neat to have a bright blue sea cucumber.

If it was to be a sponge or cucumber, what is the safest way to take it out of my tank? I have a 29 nano and am sure it will not be happy as it grows...

If it is either it will be fine in a 29.
If it hasn't moved yet then it's most likely not a Cucumber.

It hasn't moved...it does appear to be smaller today though. I will try to get a picture of it so I can really tell if it is smaller or not.

Ok, now looking at the pictures it has definitly moved, but not much. It is also laying in a different position, which made it look smaller, but I don't think it actually is...anyway...here ya go

Ok, so no noticable changes with the blue stuff...maybe my hermits are just messing with me and moving it around lol.
However, as my husband was crab hunting in the tank tonight, he accidently stabbed the green stuff a few times, and look what happened:

All those brown parts were green before he hit them... so...ideas? Anything?
He seems to think it is getting bigger too, growing outwards away from the live rock.
