Type of Acrylic to use

well i was going to build a 120 gallon acrylic tank and didnt know about my local plastics suppliers goods. He is selling me Lucite CP acrylic. Is that the same as cellcast acrylic? Its really cheap and im worried about strength. Any help would be much ablidged. Thanx.

Well on the paper it says CP. Will it work or should i start to worrie about how i wont be able to build a tank if its high 500's?

500 what....??? Did you check that site I gave you on the other thread?
go to lucite dot com
It says the CP is continuosly formed and that their L type is their cast.
You can email them and ask.

The two 4 x 8 sheets of 5/8 cellcast for my 180g. cost me $ 352.00 and they cut it for $ 15.00.

So i was reading a ton on Acrylicmans posts and Lucite is a little weaker but should be fine. Its not as great as cast but it isnt as bad as extruded. Now i gotta finish geting the finiched pieces. Also i was wondering how come everyone has there overflows on the inside? I sorta brainstormed and saw a couple people overflows serparate. I dunno kinda gives you something to think about on your next tank. Thanx
