Type of live Sand to use?

 I am already highly addictive to Saltwater. I have had my 55 Gallon for about 6 months, and I am already looking for a larger tank, like a 110 Gallon tall or a 125 gallon. I can't decide if I want length or height. I am going to use the 55 probably for a fuge. I have a brand new Aqua EV 120 for my fuge and I want to order some live sand, the only thing is I don't know what type to use. I want to know what coarse size to get? Plus the fiji Pink live sand sounds good but again don't know if I want a fine grain sand or more coarse. I am going to have a deep sand bed in the fuge and only up to 1" in the display tank, so if you guys could let me know that would be awesome, Thanks

Go for a fine sand, like sugar-sized oolite or aragonite.
As for tank... go for more length than height. Tall tanks require more powerful (and more expensive) lighting than shallow tanks and with long tanks you can keep more active fish such as tangs.

i didnt pay attention and i got a mixture of fine and coarse sand. it actually didn't turn out too bad. the coarse sand doesn't get blown around in the currents as much as the fine sand does though.

I have a 135 and use aragonite wich works out perfectly and I am starting my coral real soon. The 135 is about 72" in length and the fish swim back and forth instead of up and down I think you should go with length for your 125. Good Luck
