typhoon III

I just bougt a typhoon III and has been running for three days now about 40 - 50 gallons so far.My question is the first filter which is the sediment filter is turning quite orange, I have city water,is this normal,am i going to have to chang the filter more often,or can i take it out and rinse it out.

did you use any brass or metal fittings in the setup?

I believe it might be brass is that why its orange .Its hooked up to like an out side water faucet with a y fitting so i can split hot and cold water.my cold water is like 50° so i added some warm to get it runs between 70° and 80°.ill send a pic in a few min

Well now that i think of it AWI gives you a brass fitting to install the unit into the water supply.So im thinking brass is not a factor but hey i could be wrong well anyway heres a pic

Where did u purchase it at? I guess im going to bite the bullet and just buy one.

definatly rust in your plumbing... i purchased the typhoon III and put a Home Depot filter in front of it as a pre-filter....
works great and the home depot filters are cheap to replace.!!!

I'd say much better in a replaceable filter than in your tank :yes: .

i just got my typhoon III and my filter looks just as orange after one day... :thinking:
