I realize that this is an old post, but thought I would give my opinion anyway. I have the Typhoon and I must say I am pretty impressed so far. Once it settled down, it started pulling some nasty junk. I am sure that there are better skimmers, but I don't think you can go wrong for $70. And the auto discharge rules! I have it draining into a milk jug so I don't have to worry about dumping those small cups all the time! By the way, Upon opening the unit the Venturi fell out of the bag onto my hardwood floor and broke. I called D&D and they sent one out at no charge!

How Long Did You Have To Wait Till It Started To Pull Out Stuff.. Just Started Mine An It' Shooting Out Tons Of Small Bubbles Into The Water.
