Uh oh I've had a 1.0 amonia spike, yeahup thats right nitrates are 0 and nitrates are 30 and ammonia's my only problem. Oh and i know my 2 causes as well so heres my story:
I'm going to sell my wet dry filter soon because I have enough LR in my tank, I'm adding a sump/fuge/skimmer and its become a nitrate factory so i've been taking out bioballs 2 handfulls a day (too fast)
PROBLEM 1: I took out the bio balls as 2 big handfulls every day
PROBLEM 2: Overstocked
yes, would you like to hear my 58 gallon stocking list?
6 chromis 18 inches
2 black and white stripe damsels 6 inches
2 clowns 6 inches
1 coral beaut 4 inches
1 diamond back goby 5 inches
that all adds up to what 39 inches?
so heres my solution(s)
SOLUTION 1- but my bioballs back in ( I already did)
SOLUTION 2- bye bye chromis, actually they're going tommorow some1 in my area has been wanting to buy them and Is coming tommorow
SOLUTION 3- I've been curing 7 pounds of LR and I'm going to add them tommorow after I wash them
should I be fine? I know I know here comes the flame... please be nice
