i was trying to take my anemone out of my 12 gallon nano cube because i recently realized on these message boards that i dont have the proper lighting. I was all ready to transport the anemone to my local salt water place where my friend there agreed to take care of it.
Anyway, i go to take it out and WOOSH. . . . its gone. I lifted up the live rock where he based himself and. . . . hes just gone! Dug thru the sand down to the bottom. . . .just dissapeared!
Anyone ever have this happen to them? I put the live rock back but what if its trapped! Some one please help and tell me what i should do. Im afraid if this thing dies in the sand itll kill all my other fish!

As dumb as it sounds. . . . yes. I have a piece of live rock basicly laying flat. When i got him he wedged himself in the front of the tank between that peice of LR and the Live Sand. . . i went to go get him and he shrinked up under the rock. . . . lifet the rock and he wasnt there, not on the mottom of the rock, not on the top of the sand. Do they burry themselves in sand?

I think I would have to check my ammonia level and make sure he didn't descinagrate (sp?). How long since you last saw him?

HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHA that is the so damn funny. Yah man, he is more then likely in the rock or in the sand. Did you check the sand? If he is not in the sand i would turn the rock upside down and off to the side. I Have a few conde's and they run off into my rocks for days and then pop back up.
