Uh Oh????

I currently have a 40 gallon tank and it has the following residents: yellow tang, 2 clowns, 3 green chromis, a fire shrimp and the most recent addition a strawberry psuedochromis named Big Al. I have been trolling through posts about these little critters and I am finding that they are pretty agressive and territorial. At first he seemed pretty shy and hid in the live rock, he is now coming out and seems relaxed and he gets along with his peers pretty well. But after reading some of the posts, it seems like Big Al may get aggressive towards any new additions. I wanted to add a blue chromis or two. Am I asking for trouble? Anyone with experience with psuedochromis please give me your advice. Thanks in advance!

i dont think you need to worry about the phsudo--- it's the tang your killing
i think you bioload is way high for a 40g ease up on the fish and get rid of the tang or put him in a bigger house.

My tang is pretty small. I was eventually going to transplant him as he grows. I was once told that they dont out grow their environment. I guess that probably isnt so true is it. Thanks for your response.

fish can and will outgrow their environment. what's important for your yellow tang is horizontal swimming room. a 40 doesn't give him enough in the long run. How small is pretty small?

Coach, no offense taken
I am here to learn. I like straight shooters with a sense of humor. If Im in this only to hear what I want to hear, I will have a lot of dead fish.
Right now the Tang is about the size of a half dollar. I have been searching the forums and I am sad to see I am not doing what is best for my Tang. I counted on the advice of a well respected person in this field. I should have done more research. Sigh.....
