Undecided about Emerald crab

+ 3 on emeralds. Mine have crawled through the zoas several times, picking all the way. I started to freak until I looked carefully and they were picking algae between the zoas and weren't hurting the zoas at all. They are algae-eatenest thing there is! And they are cool as h*ll. Mine are a little bigger than a quarter and look alot like a green turantula.

If you think that's talented, you should have seen the string of pics I took when he was crawling UP the eggcrate! Now THAT was cool!

I have at least one emerald and I like him. I never see him though. He hides really well.
And what was the nightmare with a sally lightfoot? I have one and I love him but now I'm scared?!

When the get big, they can, and tend to, go after fish and inverts.
They can become quite a terror.

Uh Oh. Ok. Guess I'll have to watch mine. Funny thing is, I saw my Coral Beauty nipping at my Sally.

Confirm that, my sally was attacking everything that was transiting outside HIS cave, no matter what size it was.
I had to get all rocks out of the tank to catch him.

For anyone still considering emerald crabs for a reef tank. Don't do it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! they're tearing my corals apart.
