undulated in reef....??

Thinking of giving my undulated a home of his own...
Can he be housed with corals?
What is it that makes this trigger not reef safe?
I've heard they can crunch on your live rock. I have him now in my FOWLR and have never once seen him biting the LR or even look twice at my mushroom corals (anemonies, whatever). And he is smart enough to keep away from my condy.

This is a mean nasty fish that eats inverts. If you don't mind having your rocks moved around and don't have any inverts you're OK.

Only put an undulate in your reef system if you want him/her to happily much on everything. If you care about the longevity of your reef i'd would refrain from adding an undulate.

Triggers tend to be drawn to motion. Any thing that is swaying in the current is liable to get a chomp to see if it is edible. Shrooms maybe messed with just to see if anything is higing under them. An undulated is just a to aggressive/curious fish to add to a reef tank. There is a reason for him to stay away from your anemone's ... They will hury him and he knows it. He would probably leave most stinging corals alone as well, but that wouldn't stop him from knocking them over. Most of the more aggressive corals , if they get knocked over and land on there tentacles(like torch, frog spawn and hammers) it can kill them. Just another reason not to add one to a reef.
