unhappy Xenia

I picked up some Xenia (3 branches attached to a big snail shell)
it looked really good at the LFS,
after putting it in my tank,
it looked pretty good the first day
then it kinda shrivled up a bit,
so I moved it to the other side of the tank, and higher (closer to the lights)
when moving it, I noticed some foggy stuff coming from what looked like a cut in the biggest trunk
it's now "deflated" and looks pissed off.
will it be ok?
is there anything I can do to help it?

Xenia is very hardy as a whole. The thing is it just might not like your tank. Not that your tank isn't "perfect" in readings. It is just a very picky coral. Some tanks it grows like a weed and some tanks can't get it to grow at all. I would just put it somewhere in medium light and flow and watch it to make sure it doesn't die and rot. Hope it pulls through though. Good luck

Check to see if its getting good flow across it. When I am working on my tank and I have the pumps off my Xenia will lean over as if it was dieing
