I awoke this morning to find some kind of strange crab that had hitchhiked in on a hairy green finger leather that I had purchased. It is white and kind of fuzzy and kinda looks a little like a little tiny fiddler crad. It is about 1/2 inch and like I said he was hiding out in the coral it kinda looked like he was eating it so I removed him until I find out whta it is. if anyone has any ideas please let me know. if he is ok for my corals I would like to place him back in there so he dont die. I have hime segregated right now.

to tell you the truth, the only way to know for sure that he isnt eating your corals is to watch him....im not too sure about this and havent seen any particular crab matching your description show up on any corals...its a tough call, but ultimately one that you have to make!
good luck

If possible, try and post a photo for ID...
And for the time being if you have a sump, place the crab in the sump. He still get the benefits of the tank and is out of harms way. I currently have an unidentified crab in my sump and he seems to enjoy the place.

I don't have a digital camera to take a picture of it but I am quite convinced it is a decorator crab after doing some research but I haven't found a picture that is exactly the same does anyone else have an idea. He sure is a small little guy and like I said he has a hard shell that is an off white color and he appears like he has fuzzy stuff on him and he has two little black eyes real tiny little things. He has 4 legs and 2 pinchers. kinda looks like a little blue crab or something. He has the oval shaped body and that is as a bout as detailed that I can get right now.
