Unknown creature

I am currently setting up an 80 gallon tank. I received my live rock yesterday from gulf view. Lots of life on the rock. I saw one creature that I have never seen before. It looked like it has the body shape of a worm, but is white with black rings. It moved pretty quickly and as soon as I shined a light on it it went into a hole. It apoeared to be about 2-3 in. in lenght and maybe a 1/16th of in thick. Anyone have any ideas.

bristle wom is the only thing i could think of. keep it in the tank if you think that is what it is, but do not touch it. bristle worms are nice to have in the tank :D

I got plenty of the little guys running around at night. Kinda' funny how they retract into themselves.

Thanks for all the info. I couldn't really tell if he retracted into himself cause he moved so fast. Its funny how the tank changes at night. I'll have to keep on eye out over the next couple of nights to see what else is in there. My tank is still cycleing and hopefully the critters wont die off.

i saw one that looks like that and the end did retract. i thought it was someting different because there are a couple white ones. the white ones only come out at night but the black one seems to come out with the lights on sometimes
