Unknown Growth

Can someone please identify this. It is growing on one of my LR. Good or Bad. It looks bad to me. Also same LR is infested with bad animonias. Killed 10 every week, they just keep coming back.

Looks kinda like a sponge but hard to tell, little to blurry. As it grows look for little water vent tube's forming on it.

This looks like Aptasia that was just squirted with Joe's Juice. Is this one of the areas that you killed some?

I purchased this aquarium used approx 1 1/2 months ago. It is a 50gal. I only running a whisper 30-60 hang on filter and a canister filter at this time. I started out with extreme high nitrate levels. I recently done several 50% water changes and finally got my nirates down to 40. The aquarium came with several fish and i have not lost any fish.
The area were this growth is, is not from joe's juice. It appears like a cotton matterial on the outer parts and in the center it has strings that extend out. The growth is approx 3" long. I will try and get a better pic up tommorrow. Thanks for the help.

It kind of looks like the webbing from a bristle worm only that's really dence.

I did see a long black tube like worm the other night when i happen to look at the rock. When i turned on the light it quickly srunk back in the LR. Is a bristle worm bad? What should I do?

Give it a cool name like "Skipper" or "Slinkie". I've named my largest one "Vile Demon"
