we have our tank up & running with sump, protein skimmer & pump. I need to tweak the salininity a bit. Right now we have LS & a dead raw shrimp in the tank. when can we add LR? do we have to wait for the tank to cycle?
Yup... add the rock now... no harm no foul. If you want to add it later, add small pieces at a time, or make sure its completly cured in a seperate tank or tub somewere before adding it to your display.
added about 10 lbs of LR today --LFS said it is all cured. I have already found a few hitchhikers!! I would like to add more LR later -- do i need to make sure that is cured as well?
Definitly... if not, most likely it will cause your tank to recycle... Even if the LFs says its cure, best to put it into a rubermaid and make sure its cured.
