Update pics and Lights On or Off?

I started the tank about 3 weeks ago.
I left the lights on (10 hrs a day) while cycling the tank.
As you can see, there are many tufts of hair algae on the back of tank, and on parts of rock.
What do you think, leave lights on or turn em off?
Will a clean up crew take care of the hair algae, or will I be plagued with this for a long time?

RO water only.
Nitrates high, everything else is 0.
By the way I am seeing some of the hair algae in the mud filter chamber as well. Some of it is even growing on some strands of caulerpa.

I had this same thing when I first started my tank i added hermits and snails and one emerald crab they got rid of it with my help pulling it off the rocks and the glass. Now I have a little but not much....

I got it a tbsaltwater.com. It was aquacultured in the ocean. It came underwater in good shape.
Overall I am happy. The 2nd half of the shipment is coming tonight. It is supposed to be even better.
Check out the thread by DRAXX.
He or she has the same rock.
Later.

You should be ok once the rock is cured. Hair algae likes dirty water, ie phosphates in your water. So long as you are not over feeding and you don't have a huge bioload it shouldn't spread much. Keep in mind you should try adding buffered RO water to any future water changes to keep out phosphates as well. There are several organisms you can buy at the LFS to eat that stuff too.
