Update - Spotted Mandarin

I wrote a week ago about being given a spotted mandarin and two wild caught oscellaris.
I wanted to say I'm very happy that the spotted mandarin is now eating adult live brine.
Also both clowns are eating the adult live brine as well.
I take the adult live brine, place them in a small bowl and add in a highly nutritious filter feeder food that ends up making them turn orange.

I plan on adding in some mixed bits of frozen mysis and hopefully getting it over to frozen mysis.. so far its looking good!

I am also looking on further adivce when it comes to care and feeding as well as getting them over onto mysis.
This is what I am giving my brine shrimp:
Nutra-Kol NutraPlus Micro Feed 125mL
NutraPlus Micro is a unique microalgae concentrate mix. It contains pure Dunaliella salina and Nannochloropsis oculata algae with no additives. NutraPlus Micro is formulated specifically for culturing live foods and feeding herbivorous filter feeders in reef and other marine systems. The high carotenoid content of Dunaliella salina enhances and brightens the natural colors of any organism kept under artificial conditions.

Good job, glad to hear it. Just give it plenty of time to eat the food without other fish for competition and cross your fingers and hope you have a curious mandarin. That is about all you can do as far as I know. You could try soaking the mysis in one of those garlic solutions that is supposed to increase appetite.

I have the mandarin placed in a protective box that sits in the tank. Its latched to the side of the tank and has small holes for water flow. So far today he has eaten easily 10-20 adult brine fed on micro feed. His belly is no longer concave and even now is kinda pooched out

My plan is to keep it in this container for quite a while. Adding in small "pieces" of mysis and to place a blower near the holes so that the pieces will move like the brine do and I will most likely get some fresh garlic and squeeze it for juice to put on the mysis..
