Upgrade to 100 gal need help

Ok sounds good what would you recommend for turnover rate or gph pump for return

I think mine is about 1500 gph. I have 2 overflows that can do 700 gph each. I think you need something that will not exceed your max overflow rate because the return rate will set the overflow rate. If your return is too much your tank will overflow. I have ball valves on my return lines to adjust the flow rate. When I had it on full it was like river rapids in my sump. Another thing to keep in mind is bigger pumps produce more heat and that can be a factor in controlling water temp depending on the rest of your setup and the temp you keep your house.
