Some of you may have seen the thread i started about me wanting to start a JBJ nano. I have decided to not do this and decide to put the money towards upgrading my 28g tank more. Here are the things i may be purchasing.
-more live rock
-Another light strip
-New 6000k daylight bulb
-Overflow box for Remora Skimmer (Already Ordered)
Any other ideas on what should be upgraded on the thank? Thanks!

Agree with you BLTDreef!!!! Good growth possibilities with 6500k, but not very appealing to the eye IMO for the display.

its going to be with a 420 actinic unless im worng. Were talking T8 here. Nothing special for corals or anything like that.
Unless im wrong and it is going to be REALLY yellow. If it is then what do you all recomend?

heres a better question:
What would be the best 1 or 2 bulbs to put over my tank to get a nice, blue look. (No corals in tank). Thanks!
50/50 Daylight 6500k
50/50 Daylight 6500k w/ 420 Actinic
Daylight 10000k
Daylight 10000k w/ 420 actininc
Thanks!

Daylight 10K, 460 actinic, but 420 is close, just not as blue as 460
The higher the Kelvin rating, the bluer the lighting will be

Agree with BLTDreef......I don't know why or how they could advertise 6500k as a daylight bulb???? Have you ever seen an Iwaski MH bulb? To me it's like peeing in the snow!!!!!

Thank you BTLDreef. I just sold a used MH fixture for $200 so ill order them soon. Ey one more question, Im planning on adding more rock to my tank, will this cause an ammonia spike? Im planning about another 5lbs.

Not if it's cured and stays wet/ submerged.
I did the math and the total price of my LED fixture from rapidled is $65 + the $9 aluminum bar.

6k is super pee.....and 10k can have a hint of yellow depending on what ballast is driving the bulb and nipple orientation of the bulb as well, and as you go up you get more blue.

Ok thank you, im not shure what the ballast is. I currently have a regualr light strip on it. Like those ones that comes with the tank at *****. I plan on adding another strip so I have two on my tank so I can have two bulbs.
