Upgrading from 45 to 75 with Question...

Hi everyone,
I'm upgrading from a 45 gallon reef to a 75 gallon reef.
I purchased about 40lbs of additional live rock to go with the 60lbs I have. The live rock is cured. I'm going to mix my current live sand bed to some newly bought "dead" sand in order to create my new sand bed. I will use 75% of the water in the old tank along with new RODI water that i will add. When all of the rock and sand is placed in the new tank, do you think it will need to cycle? If so, will it be an abbreviated cycle or the entire ~30-45 days? I'm just wondering so i know how long i have to keep my fish and corals in my QT. Any advice or experience would be appreciated!
Thanks!

as far as the sand bed goes you shouldnt have any problem with a cycle or introducing a cycle to the tank. the new live rock you purchased may throw a nitrate nitrite spike in the tank. the live rock needs to be cured. and all die off from the live rock needs to happen. if you throw fresh live rock in with your previous you might have some spike.
