Upgrading to 400 w halides any suggestions?

Hey everyone,
I have a 75 reef, and currently a coralife retrofit MH/PC combo. The color of 14k and 10k isnt pleasing me so im upgrading to 400w 20ks....any suggestions thats around $600?
Also ill have the retrofit for sale if anyones interested...new they are 750...its only about a year old and has all new bulbs cept for the PCS....the complete setup i would sell for around 400

IMO 400w is overkill and would cause heat issues, 250w 20k would be fine. What bulb brand are you using? The color varies slighting from brand to brand, even if the say they're the same kelvin.

yeah i really dont feel like buying a chiller so i think im going to go with 2 250w hamilton pendants with 14k bulbs included, and ill buy 20k bulbs maybe south pacific sps bulbs.....but yeah the 400w would be a little much...i just want to have 20k without sacrificing too much intensity so would i be good with 250w?

Try running the 250w Radium bulbs....you'd need and HQI ballast to push them though.

yeah id get the hamiltons they have hqi ballasts because in order to power double ended you need hqi....if i have 2 250w ballasts at 20k...is it worth it to supplement with a 110w daylight VHO?

With the Radium 20ks most don't even consider supplimenting with 03's.
