Hi,
I have a 15H tank that is my Seahorse Only tank that has proven to be too small for them (didnt realize they were gonna be so big) with about 3 pieces of LR and a 2" DBS...had an amm spike when I put them in, so I am controlling this with frequent water changes with the water from my 75G...
Well, here is my question..
I am getting a 29 bow front tank tommorrow that I want to use for my seahorses and I will keep the 15H for my QT...
My plan is to set the 29 up where the 15 is now, so I will have to drain the water into a large bucket to move it...
add about 30 LBS of LR and make the 2" sand bed a 5' DBS in the 29. Well, can I take & use the sand and everything else from the 15 high and put it on top of the new LS into the 29? Then add all the water from the 15H into the 29 and then top it off with water from my 75G? (Hope I havent confused you) Then hook up all the same filters and skimmers etc....to the 29. Then put the seahorses into the 29 to make this their new home?
The big problem is here that I need to set up the 29 where it will be, I dont want to to start fresh and cycle it from step ONE!
Will this work or do you think I need to start from scratch??
Thanking you kindly, Kim
