Upsizing From 125 to 210

Getting ready to upsize my 125 to a 210 tomorrow. Just curious how long I should wait before putting corals and fish in new tank. I plan on using most of the water and all of the LR I had in my 125 (plus adding another 70 pounds). All readings are perfect in the 125 and would like to get the corals and fish settled in the new tank as quickly as possible without any losing anything if at possible. Any suggestions and help would be greatly appreciate. Here's a couple photos of the old 125.

adding some new rock will cause a small cycle!
I'm guessing a couple of days!
Test you water and add when levels are good.

My guess is that the "New" cycle will be VERY small. An established tank with good parameters shouldn't have any weird spikes...I switched from a 65 to a 125 gallon. I moved the 65 and filled teh 125. I then added sand and rock over the next few days. By day like 4 i addd fish and corals. Never had an ammonia spike..although I moved my established fuge and a ton of macro to the old tank immediately..I'm sure that helped. Just play it by ear...I think you'll be fine!

take the time to scrub the new live rock well with a stiff plastic bristle brush to help remove some of the surface stuff that will die off and wash it off in saltwater as you do it. take the time to wash (swish around)your old lr in some saltwater to help remove some of the fish poo and other deterious out of it. you may have a small spike but it shouldnt last long. good luck

Well, it's up and running. I will probably drip the fish in tonight if the water tests okay as they are really getting stressed living in a Tupperware container. The new live rock I added was fully cured and had been used in this tank. I ended up using about 60 gallons of water from the 125G and all but 30 gallons had been mixed for over 48 hours. The fuge and sump took about 55 gallons. I also added another 80 pounds of live sand (Caribbean mix) and plan to add 40 pounds to my refugem later today (before adding the fish). All of the coral seems to be doing great, as are the crabs, snails and clams that I added after the water cleared early this morning. It took us (the Reef Chief from Va. Beach helped me make the move) over 12 hours to complete the move. I located one of the hitch hikers that I was afraid may hurt my fish and he has now been located to the refugem. I had a fish die a few weeks ago and I had to wrestle this fellow to get it out of the tank (he won 2 out of 3 times). The last photo is how the 210 looks this morning. I still need to move a few pieces of coral to different spots but for the most part it is now complete except for the fish. Thanks for your help!
