urchin help

My blue tux urchin has little yellow beads coming out of the top of his/her body, i've had him for well over a year and never saw this before, any help out there ?

Well do you normally see anything comming out of the top?
If you don't know the mouth is on the bottom and has quite a unique engineering design, the anus and --- organs are located at the top. could be that your urchin was simply expelling waist. As to the color, depends on what it eats. If it were a milky substance then it would have been sperm and would mean that your corals would be feasting on it.

I do know the basic anatomy of the urchin, not in depth but the "beads" were about pin head size and yellow, could they be eggs or just poop ? as I stated earlier I had never seen this before

At this point I would say the possability is either, I have never learned the color of urchin eggs, but will share a link on the reproductive proccess. From what I understand a male and female urchin will release at the same time or very close anyway.
