Urchin just released White smoke

Atleast that's what my son said.
"daddy, look at the smoke in the tank"
I'm like WTF! :scared: and i see the Long spined Urchin spewing tons and i mean TONS of white "STUFF". It wasn't from the "eye" it was from around the top from tons of holes.
I'm thinking eggs? sperm? It did it a few times...

Yep your guess is correct, it means your corals will eat tonight!

Nice, it was freaky though till i saw the source..I just see this dark grey cloud in the tank, I needed a diaper change after that....

Last thing you want to see on a 300gal tank is grey smoke!!! :scared:

Well in a perfect world, they could grow into little urchins...But chances are any filter feeders will eat them first...

I believe long spines urchins are either male or female (not hermaphrodites). From the sound of it, this was a male.
Any recent water changes, changes in lighting cycle, temperature or anything?

Nope, it's in the 300, nothing really changes..
