Urchin?

I have a pencil urchin that likes to knock my rocks over. I'm sure this is no surprise to anyone. I just got my refuge running and have QTed him to that tank for now. I run the lights on the fuge 24/7 right now. I am battleing nitrates and plant growth is really needed in my system. Will having the lights on all the time have adverse effects on it?

i would think haveing the lights on 24/7 would cause some undue stress on the urchin since they do like to roam about in the nightime hours. You could probably get away with 5-6 of darkness but i wouldn't go any shorter than that.
