i left for golf about 7 o clock last night and cheched my fish and everybody was as usual and i came back around 10 and my friend went into my bedroom before and said "Bren, i think you fish is dead." and i though he was probaly talking about my osc. clown that sleps in the sand ,so i go up to my room and find my emrald crab EATING my MIDAS BLENNY!!!this was obviously a fresh carcas because there was very little discoloration on his body.my tank has been running for almost 8 months and did not have a fish die.......... until yesterday. i newly introduced a clown goby a little under a week before this event happened. i quarentined the clown goby before putting him in my main tank for 1 month. the emrald is very small and from what i could see he COULD have grabbed his tail but i highly doubt that this emrald had anything to do with his deat. because the midas blenny was the largest (lenghth) fish in my 40 gallon tank with clown goby,six lined wrasse, osc clown.I and my family noticed that the midas blenny look a "sunken in" from under his gills to his tail. i feed 1 every day and some times i dont feed that day and wait till next day. i feed pellet(not commonly) flake food, and a mixture of frozen cuisene.(never all 3 at once) could it have been mal nutrition. ive had the clown in there for over 7 months with the same feeding habits so........ohhh i dont know.it is now the morning after and the lights are out but i see my clown (in the sand)(alive) and i cannot see my six line because he hides in a rock when night time. so ill update when i see him come out. is this something i should worry about and be scared for the lives of my other 3 fish?
