Urgent NEED HELP RIGHT AWAY!!!!!

Just Adde the phosban reactor and the GFO comes flying out of the out tube. I unplug it and try to scoope out as much of the GFO as possible but there is still a good amount in there. I also have 2 firefish in there so my querstion is can it kill my fish and how can I fix it. Srry cant type really panicking right now..

If memory serves....You should have a sponge above and below the GFO granules. The pump should be pushing water very slow...the granules will look kind of like a critter is crawling just below the surface...barely moving. My reactor had a valve on the intake tube to be able to regulate the flow of water going to it... They are all basically the same on how they work.

The only other problem I can think of is if you have the wrong grade of GFO, if it's too fine, it won't work in your reactor. Some GFO is very fine, and used in a mesh bag which isn't suited for reactors.

flower is right. There should be a sponge.

The water flowing into the unit should also have a ball valve on it which regulates the flow. it should be just barely churning. If it churns too much, it disintegrates.
